About Our Work Together

99731009Running on Empty

Feeling drained while trying to make it happen daily can be one of life’s biggest challenges.

Think of having space and time to connect with what is important and feel supported. Consider how great it would feel after you tell someone what is upsetting and the relief that comes, like taking off a heavy backpack full of rocks.

Wouldn’t it be great to feel supported and guided in a way that works for you? How would it feel to give to yourself first so you can give to everyone else who needs you? How would it feel to have energy again?

That’s therapy!

A moment’s peace is all you want.

Imagine having one hour a week blocked off in your schedule, looking forward to being able to say anything and get what you need – just for you.

Let me hold what’s heavy for you in a nonjudgmental space.

You can connect with me from the comfort of your home and feel seen, heard, and supported. Even in your pajamas!

Maybe you have tried therapy before, and it wasn’t a good fit. Clients often say, “I don’t want to work with a robot,” or “I didn’t feel like my old therapist heard me, but I kept returning because it felt hard to change.”

Let me offer you a place to come where an open and attentive human is present to hear your concerns. This human genuinely cares about your well-being and wants you to feel good.

Yes, it can be different!

About Me

AdminHere’s some information about my experience.

After graduating with my Master’s Degree in 2001, I have worked as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for over 20 years (that sounds unbelievable!). I have seen it all while working with various clients across the state and in varying locations, from non-profit agencies to residential treatment centers, home visits to the courts, and everything in between!

Over the last 10 years, I have prioritized my private practice to work with the issues I am passionate about, including helping clients who suffer from anxiety and supporting those going through divorce or breast cancer.

More recently, I have been excited to learn about energy and how it works in the body and mind, a field called energy psychology. I also am a board-certified supervisor and have had the pleasure of teaching and helping new social workers through supervision.

I enjoy plenty of fun stuff.

Just like you, I have many other parts of me outside of my work life. I am honored and grateful daily to be a mother to two beyond-amazing kids.

I like to travel, meditate, and be in nature. I also love to be with friends and family and to have new adventures, see a good play, dance like no one is watching, or see a great live band.

Being on a boat or in the water on a warm sunny day is my happy place (what’s yours?). I am also inquisitive, love to learn, and am someone on my own growth journey – meaning I, too, have plenty of experience riding the wave called life (hang on)!
